Poor mans watch collection

The "Tool" watch

The "Work" watches

The "Recently acquired" watch

Please keep all laughing to a minimum

The Rolex is going in for service soon. Gramps took a nasty spill recently while wearing it, hence all the scratches. Proud to now call it my own.

No, really. I am just a modest man living in a modest home, driving a modest car, and working a modest job. Modesty and simplicity have lead me to a comfortable life yet so far.

Hey didn't the most of us start out kinda like Brandon, I mean other than going out and buying from a AD he inherited this from his Grandfather so now even he has a Rolex.. Vintage is good and there is nothing wrong with it, hopefully there are good memories associated with the watch. It's a start Brandon :o)

Sorry to hear that man... my grandma had the same thing. My aunts took care of her until she died quietly while at the dinner table last year.

Take care of your grandpa's watch...

Hi Brandon, sorry for the late welcome.

Your watch collection looks pretty good to me. I hope you're going to get your Grand-dad's Rolex redone and wear it proudly in his memory. That's how heirlooms become heirlooms.

I rather like it too. When I bought it new maybe 3 or 4 years ago I think it was about $140. Keeps excellant time and I love the scalloped dial.

Just got these two Seikos not long ago. I put a Nato on the orange Diver, but have kept the 6139 original. I opened up the back yesterday and was amazed at how clean the watch is. It was bought in 1972 and did not show any corrosion on the inside at all!
