thank you and Happy New Year to all

Don't think they will release red bezel SS as it would kill sales of PM.

Sub is always a good choice.
Cheers

I'm confused are you asking advice on a white gold BLRO vs a SS Sub 114060? or a hypothetical white gold Coke bezel, or a hypothetical SS Coke Bezel?

Anyway, I seriously doubt they'll make a SS Coke Bezel, but what do I know. If they did I would probably choose it over a 114060 but not my 116610LV. Since you already have a 116710 I would probably be more likely to get a sub. Basically IF they made a SS Coke, and I were you, I would probably trade my 116710LN for the Coke and add a submariner.

1. blro is pepsi not coke

2. it wont happen

3. flip the LN for the coke and add a 114060 if you really want one

Wait till Basel, I think there's a fair chance of release.

No one knows until Basel but I think if they release a Coke bezel GMT it will be in WG. Just my guess.

Grab the Sub and enjoy until the GMT happens. Even if announced it'll be a while before you can get one anyway

BLRO Vs. 114060

I would go with the Sub.

As far as a new GMT...you just never know until it happens --

But...I honestly think the 'it would hurt PM sales' angle...really wouldn't be a deciding factor for a couple of reasons. First - PM watches have more of a unique market and customer base, second the sales of a stainless option would send overall sales through the roof. Lets just say 3 stainless steel - GMTs = 1 PM...sales might even be better $ wise!!!! Look at the Daytona-C!!!

My AD has had a BLRO sitting in the case for I bet a year - however they can't get enough of the newer stainless pieces to meet the demand.

Just my .02

This sounds like the move. I'd move the Ln in favor of the coke if it happens

Get the sub then, if they release a RONR in SS, flip your LN for it

I hope you're right but I just can't see it. It's surely too close to the BLRO that will p*ss off all those buyers who have stumped up the £28k.

The current state of the market leads me to believe Rolex is pulling aces out of its sleeves. Nothing would surprise me.

Also I didn't see any platona owners whining when the 116500 was announced. I don't think BLRO owners would care. I would still much rather have a BLRO than a RONR.

I would get the Sub because you don't have a sub in your collection yet.

Never had a GMT but think they're fine pieces... but don't think you can ever go wrong with a sub.

Get a the 114060 which is an amazing watch, and enjoy it now. If you buy sensibly, you wont lose money if you decide to flip it later. As about a potential RONR, not sure it will happen. But there is no point waiting for some hypothetical release.

Yeah, an SS Coke is not going to impact PM owners really, in fact I'd say a Coke in WG would really upset all WG BLRO owners so hope Rolex make it in SS. In fairness there is an argument that any release could bother other owners and slightly impact other sales, but Rolex have to keep introducing new models and firing up enthusiasm in these slowing days, and this Coke seems a sure fire way of doing that now the D500 is no longer a myth.

I'd add the Sub with your collection since you already have a GMT.

If you want to pony up for the BLRO it's a fantastic reference. As for the coke ... No one knows for sure when or if this will ever happen.
