Help with Oyster Date Precision purchase
Hello,
I need help deciding if this Rolex Oyster Date Precision Ref.6694 is a good purchase, I don't have much experience evaluating Rolex watches, this one I just find it gorgeous. Can some one help me deciding if this is an original one? I don't have movement photos yet. The only thing that seams odd are the indexes, ink is pealing and I've never seen a double index at 6h and 9h on this model. Thanks! |

I'm far from a vintage expert but I do enjoy my own grey dial 6694 Here's a pic of mine with the double index at 6 and 9

the only way one could comment on whether the OP's pictured watch is a "good purchase" would be to know the price.
i will say there are loads and loads of 6694 models in beautiful condition with intact dials and markers and include their original oyster band as well. i would expect a HUGE discount for any 6694 without it's SS bracelet and showing dial or marker wear. 6694's are very plentiful as millions of them were made. they are very nice iconic models and quite popular so unless the pictured watch is heavily discounted i would keep looking. |
