That Yellow Monster is sweet! Would love a Green, Red or Blue as well!

But...I have the ORANGE!

Thanks Chris! I got the Yellow two years ago from a man who acquired it directly from the 2004 Bangkok Watch & Jewelery Fair. (Thank you once again Alex!)

The serial number is 64/300, and as I'm born in 1964, it seemed that the universe was telling me to "jump". I did! I wear it occasionally, certainly not in regular rotation, but often enough. My wife loves the colour, and folks that know the series are wowed when they see it.

It's a fun piece, and I'm happy and grateful to have it. Thanks for noticing!

Hi Speed, thanks for the compliment! I too had a desire to have all of the series at one point, but the desire to "collect them all" sort of faded when I couldn't find the serial number for the Red I wanted. It was great fun tracking them all down and securing them, but now I've only got the Yellow and the Black left ... I'm happy I had the chance to see so many of them in one place.

Cheers!
Bill

Yes the forum helped and TRF member came by the shop last week and he was wearing his orange monster instead of his GMT Master IIc.

I was able to both the stainless steel bracelet and the rubber strap in a combo deal! I'm stoked as I love diver watches, especially automatics!

My Orange Monster has arrived!

My Orange Monster has arrived!

Here it is! Next to my 1985 Rolex DateJust 18K/SS on a Bordeaux strap. I will have my watchman size it for me in the morning. I also received the rubber strap along with all booklets and box! Brand new still in plastic! I scored a great deal too! In the second photo is my Citizen Eco-Drive I bought the day it debuted in California back in 2005. Still looks new and was my daily watch until I picked up my Rolex DateJust.

I have a collection of diver and chronograph watches...so this one is now one of my favorites!

Wrist shot on bracelet

A couple on rubber strap

Have worn this on bracelet, rubber, and Maratac Zulu. It's great to take a $175 watch and be able to get multiple looks. However, my OM spends the majority of its life on the bracelet. It's just crazy how much quality you get with one of these for such a small price.

I finally wore my Monster for a whole weekend. Very comfortable watch and at night I can see what time it is at a glance. Highly recommended! Oh and mine is orange.
