Icon10 My first AP

Just got my first Audemars Piquet. So far liking it a lot. Only thing about the watch I don't like is the double fold clasp. It's difficult to undo and pinches my wrist some times.

It has the newer 3126/3840 movement. Anybody know why AP made this movement with 3Hz frequency instead of the old 2326/2840 movement's 4Hz? Doesn't this sacrifice accuracy for the sake of longer reserve power?

Playing around with my camera to capture some of the details. I like the polished edge to contrast against overall brushed finish.

I have read some people don't like the sunken look of the date window with internal cyclops, but I rather like it. Much cleaner look than cyclops on the crystal.

I wish AP had rounded the inside edge of the clasp so it does not dig into my wrist some times.

Just curious, did it say 3126 on the paperwork? I haven't seen a blue-dialed Themes with this movement. Must be the last of the production. Beautiful watch!

Thanks. Yes paperwork says ref 26170ST and 3126 movement. It was an impulse buy when I went to get a Sub C LV. So later when I did a bit of research on AP ROO it confused me because on the official web site it shows the blue Themes with the old ref 25721ST and 2326 movement. So I guess my watch must be from the last batch. It's a shame AP discontinued the blue Themes for 2011 as I really like it.

Strange how the dial makes or breaks a watch. I never lusted after the other ROOs I have seen before, but this one was love at first sight.
