Good shot, Vernon. Nikon's are very dependable!!

This one too was taken with a 3-year old NIKON Coolpix 4300 in macro mode!!

JJ, this might be a stupid question, but what's the "Y" looking symbol above the "S" for submariner in that picture of your blue sub?

Oh behalf of JJ, I would say that Y is the beginning of the word Yachtmaster. That pic is of JJ's yammy before he sold it.

Olympus are so underrated IMHO i have a c5060 digital which has an incredible wide angle lens and my lovely old OM1 SLR which is about 30 years old, still looks new and feels so beautifully engineered!

This is my first digital olympus and I am impressed for a such poorly reviewed camera. (FE-170)

The reason I bought it because I have extra XD media for my fuji cam and for 50 bucks I figured why not (it was an clearance item).

I snapped that pic free hand without anything to stabilize my hand and it came out I'd say decent.

That's an amazing deal. The optics on Olympus have always been great IMHO.
I had the fixed lens MJU 35mm compact for a while and folks swore I'd used my OM1 to take the pics. They may scimp of friperies that one never uses but the lenses are great.
I have a feeling you will have a lot of fun with that camera, you'll forget the gadget value and end up just taking great pics like the one you showed here!

The "4" in the picture is denoted by IIII instead of IV.
But the "9" in the pic is IX (like normal) instead of VIIII to go along with the "4".

Odd, I must say.

Surely, you don't want Rolex to emboss the '9' as....

IIIIIIIII

Ah that makes sense! I didn't realize he had a Yachtmaster!

Stupid me kept thinking the "S" from "Superlative Chronometer" was the "S" from "Submariner"

DUH
