Navitimer World vs. 01

Looking to see what the major differences are in the Navitimer World vs. Navitimer 01. Am looking at used or new watches and like the silver bands.

I think the two two serial numbers are world and the bottom is 01 but what are the differences in these? I think the top three are versions of the world and the bottom is a 01?

The world is alot bigger and thicker. They made the navitimer bigger when the 01 came out but it is still smaller (thickness, strap size, weight). . Think Sea Dweller vs Deep Sea. I wouldnt buy the World without trying it on.

Same thing I'm going through...I just tried both on today and was surprised how small the 01 looks on my wrist...the World was perfect.... There's an 01 (46mm) but the retailer didn't have any info, models, etc....

Also there's a decent price difference, not sure if that matters to you...The way I look at it is the 01 is a "classic" looking Breitling (reminds me of my Old Top Time) while the world looks newer age...

Comes down to taste but do go and put one on your wrist first.

That blue dial is super sharp, and the matching strap is a great combo! Congrats on your decision, wear it in good health!

I'm agonizing about the same decision (01 vs World). I love the gmt complication but am scared the world will be too big for my wrist.

It looks great on you though. Super sharp watch. Great choice with the blue band. Good pics too.

The world does NOT have the in house movement, correct?

It doesn't. Breathing did come up with a Navitimer GMT with an in house movement at Basel this year.

It's like a semi-in-house. They bring it in and finish the stack up in house (maybe the chrono, not sure...)
