Meistersinger- One handed watch

I was just killing time in Carmel and browsing watches and came across the model #2 manual wind. Very cool.
Only one complication, the hour hand which is amazingly easy to read. This is a great example of less is more.
Curious if anyone knows of other watches like this?

I really like the Meistersinger Neo. Was looking at it in my local AD recently. It has everything I want in a watch, but the single handed thing, I am not to sure on. Would probably get used to it though.

I think they are cool and different. Does anyone know if they are considered mid to higher end? While in Germany I couldn't find them in any store..& I wanted to.

I picked up a No.1 a few months ago. Actually I'm wearing it today. I enjoy its simplicity.

"Mid to higher end" is a relative scale. Suffice it to say that Meistersinger makes good, solid watches. I'm pretty sure they use modified ETAs, but they're one of several smaller, independent German watchmakers worth taking a look at, including: Dornblueth & Sohn and Mühle Glashutte. Watchbuys.com carries only German mechanical watches. If you like Meistersinger, you should check out their site.

When I first heard of a single hand watch, I thought it would be incredibly awkward.

Seeing that picture made the concept instantly click. That's extremely easy to read.

Very nice.

Yes, very easy to read.

I initially assumed I'd only wear it on lazy days when knowing the precise time wasn't required, however I never seem to require more precision than is offered by this watch.
