They've even managed to get the crappy under magnified cyclops detail right lol. But I do like the lume effect.

Indeed, it's the sincerest form of flattery.

I have a Rolex DJii and a Ball and love them both.

The lume on my ball is SICK and I suspect this one will be as well. I may have to check it out. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery and the execs at Ball know that the Rolex marketing is right up there with Grey Goose, so why not borrow a little of that brilliance?

I love my Ball but I don't think this new watch is much of a threat to the reign Rolex has over that type of watch, nor do I think any other brand who makes a similar looking watch is much of a threat.

BTW, I believe the BALL is roughly $5,000 less than the Rolex. Completely different demographic.

Let me see case, bracelet, dial fonts, dial markers, watch hands, dial colour, dial lume,AV coating, winding crown is different apart from these it looks similar to many watches including the DJ.Plus many watches looked similar back in the 1940s to present day afraid Rolex did not invent every sort of watch.

There's a ton of watches that look similar to the Datejust, I really like those Tritium gas tubes that Ball uses, I have a few watched from Luminox that have them and I find it to be a very useful feature, much better than applied Lume, I wish more higher end brands would use them.

They were so inventious that even the hand setting and the date setting-28-was copied .

There are similarities to the DJ, true, but also to the AquaTerra as well, not to mention other watches. But the cyclops! That's really saying something.

I like the Ball models shown. Seems like elements are copied from Rolex but then what other watch makers do the same.

The hands doesn't work with those thick markers, or maybe I'm just used to the Datejust II look.

At a street price of under $2k with what is surely a fabulous bracelet and those lume cannons, call it what you will. I call it a great value.
