Brands that I respect that are cheaper than an entry-level Rolex: Seiko, Hamilton, Archimede, Stowa, Oris, Sinn, Nomos, Longines, Tudor, Breitling, and Omega.

Grand Seiko 37mm Quartz

I feel the 37mm Quartz Grand Seikos- at around $2000- are tops with unparalleled workmanship and quality...

The Seiko Prospex line and their other watches in the $1000 +/- 300 range are great watches for the money. I like Sinn a lot and lately am looking to add a Hanhart.

Ok so I was visiting a UK brand’s showroom yesterday - Was pleasantly surprised at their offerings.

Christopher Ward.

Good value watches. Do check them out.

New range coming out soon I am told.

Baume & Mercier. Great looking watches and now a new in house movement initiative. I love my 18K gold Classima. It's an ETA movement but a great watch.

IWC is not a cheaper brand. They have many very expensive watches. Their products are outstanding. The don't have the marketing and brand cachet of Rolex but the products are excellent and I think match or exceed Rolex in many cases. And they treat customers very well before and after the sale, unlike Rolex. At this point, I would rather own an additional IWC than an additional Rolex. For one thing, I'm just not interested in the absurd, false "shortage" that goes on with many Rolex models. Can't see the products in person. Can't try them on in authorized dealers. Have to buy grey in sketchy non-authorized dealers. It's more than stupid.

You are making me want a Sinn very bad. How do you find the finish and overall quality of them?

I love the 903 St (Navitimer) the most.

If “cheaper than Rolex” is what you’re looking for you can get a new Zenith El Primero on bracelet for under 5k.

Under 2k I love the Maurice Lacroix Aikon, tons of value for that price as far as build quality but I do get why some people don’t like how it copied a lot of APs look..

New here. I don’t own one but I think Ball watches look pretty good. Any reason folks haven’t recommended them.

Can't we say more affordable instead of cheap. I'd rather have an affordable watch than a cheap watch. But I guess it is fair to say cheap when compared to Rolex caliber.

My list would be:

Seiko
Orient
Dan Henry (I have the 1964 and love it and the 1970 is pretty awesome as well).

I am looking for a cheaper everyday watch to compliment my Rolex, so far I have looked at Oris and Tudor.
