If i was you i would just wear the watch how ever you want. When and if you get is serviced they'll be able to take it out for you.

It's a big watch with lost of shiny surfaces. It's going to scratch. I'd leave it and just learn to live with scratches.

I had a good chuck taken out the first month during an airplane ride in the lavatory lolol. I like how the dings and scratches look on the watch. I don't even buff my plexi on the 372 anymore. Tho i might get the dings repaired during the major service.

Honestly look at it like this.. you are the only one that knows where it is and concentrate on it, prob not so visible to others and also its a watch it's meant to be worn and enjoyed... and the u send it in for service in a couple years.. request a light polish if you can to avoid looking too much metal.. enjoy in good health buddy.

Funny enough I scratched by 560 when changing a strap....... I was so annoyed with myself but soon forgot about it.....

HOWEVER, when I called in at my AD and was chatting about a new purchase they very kindly asked if they could polish the mark out for me...about 30 minutes later it had been "taken care of"....

Perhaps your local AD could help if it does bother you, but as others have said, scratches will happen.

Anyway, the main thing is that you enjoy it.

Next up, bang a white paint wall and scratch the white paint streaks off crystal with finger nail.

Enjoy it.

They all get nicked up a bit from wear and tear. Most consider it "character".

The first scratch sucks...

The PAM 90 was my first Panerai...it had many hairline scratches on it...after the first scratch they start to be less painful and I actually liked the look.

I would enjoy your your new Panerai!

Just had my 119 back from panerai service center. I've had a few dings like yours op and even panerai can't buff them out completely , you still still see some hint of old scars. Put on a vintage leather and problem solved :)

I would send it for a polish if it is really bothering you.

When I bought my PAM 233, same thing happened but it was a ding (small hole). If it is really annoying you then just get it polished. That's what I did at least and I wasn't happier.. Long story short, I ended up selling the watch and upgrading to something else so no regrets (at least I wore it scratch free till I traded it).

Nb some scratches are just annoying (plain and simple) while other not so much, and you may end up looking at the scratch rather than at the watch. Usually for me if the watch is scratched from the bezel then I wouldn't tolerate it and will usually polish it and be very careful (going forward) as you can't keep polishing a watch!
