Well, that's one take on a modern 6542

Anyone else strongly dislike this as much as I do? Not to mention you could get a refin dial and more convincing bezel insert on a real 6542 for less.

If it's me...rather go with this and buy another piece with the savings!

Not for $35K. They are smoking something if they think someone will pay that. A fool and his money are soon parted as the saying goes.

Nasty ...

Looks like an early generation fakee from the Patpong markets.

An interesting concept but they could have tried a lot harder than that.

Yikes!
In my opinion, it's an insult to the GMT.

I really like it. For the purist, I can see how this is not appealing, but I think they did a great job.

I usually detest modern custom jobs, but that looks pretty good to me. Better than the current WG Pepsi, anyway.

I agree, i'm a fan. It's not meant to replace a vintage piece, rather pay proper homage. I'm also a fan of their 3-6-9 Sub

I'm quite surprised to say that I like it but not at that price tag, which is simply absurd.

They really do a great job on these. All hand finished. Handmade relief gilt dial, custom dome sapphire, the case work and so on. Little things like the vintage crown or red triangle. I have done a lot of research on these. The thing I like about TM over other companies is the attention to detail... OH and the case work is just outstanding. Wish Modern Rolex cases looked like this.

No doubt expensive, but if I ever see one on the secondary market I may take a hard look.

Restomod for the horological set! I am OK with them but would never spend that much for one, of even a third of that price.

There are plenty of restomod cars out there that fetch a real premium over the all originals if they are well done. Maybe in the grand scheme of all things vintage there is a market and these guys are on edge of a new thing.

Agree 100%. I would add "much" better than the WG Pepsi.

Are Rolex OK with them selling dials that says "Rolex" on them? Seems strange to me.

Bamford does it and their watches are truly offensive.

That's something that has always bothered me. Rolex is usually so strict with their policies but it seems that with these dials they are somewhat less picky.

Where would I get a standard lv bezel re-profiled to coin edge shape?

Agree - but Rolex won't honour the warrantee on a Bamford watch.
I doubt very much if they will honour it on any watch that's been altered from factory original.
