There is a used complete one for sale on TZ now for $35,000 - which mean he'd take a bit less than ask as most do. I know of one other that sold a few months ago also at $35,000 as well. So they are out there for good prices if one is looking.

This reference is starting to grow on me. The new Laurent ferrier regulator has a similar aesthetic

I like the regulator, so I am biased...

I see so much value in the gently used prices of the 5960/1A and the 5235.

The regulator is best appreciated by the WIS who understands the history of the regulator clocks used several hundred years ago. Just like the tourbillon, its significance is not easily understood. To most non-WIS, the dial looks really odd, with three different hands located on three different axis all lined up vertically. The Annual Calendar is a nice addition as Patek was the first to patent the AC back in 1996.

It is definitely a significant watch for Patek Philippe with it being their first regulator and due to the technical aspects of the movement.
