Hello from Croatia!
Hello to everyone!
I have been lurking on this forum for quite some time, but didn't take time to register. That moment did come. The Virus of wristwatches was passed to me by my father. It all started with Breitling Aerospace from 1996 which father purchased after he underwent heart surgery in Switzerland. It was passed to me somewhere around 2004-2006 (at that time the trend of oversized watches was raging, and Breitling Aerospace was of titanium and 40mm). I have worn that watch during my high school, not knowing what I actually have, banged it, lume fell off, repaired it and went on. I sent this particular watch this year to Breitling Vintage for refurbish, this one is not leaving my collection ever. It is not as valuable, but has huge sentimental value for me. Around 2008-2010 I got as a gift Omega Seamaster Professional 007 (212.30.41.20.01.001), which went trough my university years, it even slept in safe for couple of years (I wasn't into watches as much at that time) - ended up finishing uni with it (wore it on the end day) and ended up marrying with it - also staple of my collection, not leaving my collection, even though I can see it actually gains in value as the time passes. 1.jpg As 60th birthday of my father approached, year or two before that I started planning to purchase for him Moonwatch. Looking at AD at my home country, it was expensive, as newlywed, fresh from uni, it was out of reach for me. Looking trough glass of AD, I spotted Speedmaster Moonphase - it was love at first sight, but nevertheless, the gift for father was priority. Time went, and bussiness landed me in January 2018 in Dubai. Ended up acquiring both Moonwatch and Moonphase for great price! I can't explain the happiness I was feeling at that time. My first luxury timepiece purchased by myself + a gift for my father. I have recorded the moment of giving the gift to m father that I will cherish forever. I won't reveal here all my collection, I'll leave some for other posts, but the virus bit me strong. Newest watch in my collection is Rolex 126710BLNR a.k.a. "Batgirl" which I got last week... 2.jpg more from me in my future posts |
