A good friend and watch enthusiast is taking a cruise from Basel to Amsterdam next year. Are there any watch related side trips I can pass on to him? Any and all travel advice is welcomed.

Following - I'm going Amsterdam to Brussels in April and Basel to Cologne in December. Interested in seeing what responses might be.

We took the Amsterdam to Basel ride, saw so many churches I lost count. Shore excursion time doesn't allow much time for personal shopping. I never made it happen.
