It’s an 11 series Sub, I’ve seen the Rolex warranty card.

I understand. I was just suggesting possibly looking for a 12xxxx Sub as I think it wears better. Either way, I’d make the trade.

I don't think I would. But, I find myself wearing less and less colored metals these days, so I'm probably not the guy to ask.

I would keep the DJ since you have a GMT

I agree, the newer case compared to the old super case. Plus, I’d rather have the 3135 movement..

I actually love the Wimbledon. It's my favorite DJ. If you're going for a more sporty look, and like the TT, then definitely do the trade, if it's worth it for you. Good luck with your decision.

I vote yes. My daily is the 116613LN, puts a smile on my face everyday. I like the LB but love the LN. It’s a different Sub than my mates and handles most everything. Cheers, looking forward to your choice and enjoy the journey

My sons and other young people I know love the TT watches. Maybe a retro thing to them, who knows but that’s what I can tell you…also, I love the chunkier case on the slightly older sub versions. They wear extremely well in spite of what people have said about them.

I’d do it. Currently I’m sticking with older movements, plus I too like the older cases etc….
e.g. Just sold my Sub 126610ln. Have a Sub 116610ln that was my primary in the wild sports watch, but just acquired a 2018 Batman, so probably will be letting the Sub go.
Note I still have a Sub 116613 Bluesy, but like the black too.

Same for me. I'm not a fan of the TT or the "bluesy" watches. I'm a basic kind of guy in general, although I do have a BLRO 16710 so maybe I don't make any sense. a SS Sub on a jubilee bracelet intrigues me.

I’m not sure either way really. Can’t really go wrong. It’s a good trade. If you really want a Sub go for it, but I think the DJ fits nicely in what you have. It’s just a great all rounder as well.

Met with the seller today, he gave me the watch to take to a local AD for time testing, I really like the piece. It's in great condition, I am leaning toward doing the deal. Hey, why not splurge with a little bling?

I would think a 41mm DJ with fluted bezel on jubilee would be a lot more blingy than a two tone Submariner. I would do the trade.

Not for me. I love a Sub but not that Sub.

The DJ is a classic and you have arguably the best combination: Wimbledon dial, fluted and jubilee - that’s a cracking combination.

The Sub on the other hand is a poor combination (IMO), a Sub for me should either be steel or all out gold. TT is a half-way house and I'm an all or nothing kind of guy. If you must have some gold, why not trade your DJ and Explorer for an all gold piece?

Also, you already have a GMT so have a great Rolex Sports model locked down.

But if you like it, do the trade!

I am surprised you could make that move with only a $1,000 difference. If you can then its a no brainer to do it asap.

Took the watch to local Rolex AD, bench tested the movement, runs +0.6 seconds per day, the watchmaker pronounced it a very healthy watch.
Done deal, we settle up in the morning, I’m very happy, my first TT.
