The green SS Sky Dweller looks a bit washed out. Don't think I would step over a blue or black one for the green.

Reporting back after seeing new Rolex models with pics

Yep, but it’s just perspective Brian.

The thing that most on here never take into account. This is a great pic for all those moaning that the new Daytona is a supercased abomination

I’m 100% certain the new Daytona has the larger PM case style. It’s, what, 1mm bigger 10 to 4 due to the symmetry and the difference will be almost unnoticeable when wearing.

Possibly looks smaller due to the smaller ceramic element of the bezel.

Feeling lighter is probably because there’s no proper movement in the 12 series (look at the hand positioning- they’re all set to Rolex (Daytona) time)

Exactly that. Lighter as no movements. Still wore lovely on my wrist. Just did not like the look of the new Black dial Daytona

It is funny how the old model does look so much bigger in the picture. I noticed that right away. And how "fat" the sub-rings look compared to the new model. It (the first comment) just goes to show you how camera angles can distort these images where we're talking half a millimeter or whatever.

Personally, I kinda like the smaller sub-rings which of course remind me of the 16520, but all these Daytonas look excellent to me. Not sure I've warmed up to the SS band around the bezel yet, but would be interesting to see in person.

I think the angle the photo was taken make it look disproportionally large.

Old Panda will be a classic. Even the old black looks nicer in the pic, my first impression was the new black may be nicer than the old, but from the pic it's not. My advice to people who are offered old Daytona 116500 don't make the mistake of turning them down in hope of getting the new one.

Thanks for posting those pictures, I've been waiting for this for awhile. Did you see any of the new Daytona color schemes like the rose or white gold models?

Ok, I don't know how people can judge anything based on random web pics. "Those lugs are OBVIOUSLY smaller/larger....."

PSA: Any items being used for size comparisons must be photographed in exactly the same manner:
- Same lens
- Distance from camera
- Identical alignment
- Lighting

So now I have my "grail" finally - I want that new Daytona43!!

You really cannot judge the new Mint dial on the Skydweller until it’s in natural light/daylight as indoors, and under lights, it doesn’t give the right (positive) impression.

That's a bit biased, no? I agree with OP. Rolex should have gone with a Hulk green. That would have been next level.

The new Daytonas - IMO the black looks better than the white. The white still looks wonky to me.

Maybe. But I did buy a new Datejust 41 with the Mint dial 2 weeks ago and have now seen the new Skydweller in the flesh with the same dial so feel pretty well placed to comment.
