can you use 19mm end piece on a 20mm steel Jubilee bracelet or vice versa

The end pieces will fit the bracelet but the bracelet will not fit the case.

A 19mm band will physically fit a 20mm case but it will be too narrow and look bad.

A 20mm band will not fit a 19mm case since the ends of the actual band needs to fit between the lugs.
