Good to know, maybe it just takes some time to get used to it.

I donīt own an AP yet but comparing the list price for the 26470 the AD gave me to slightly used ones really shocked me to be honest.

Look around, You can find ADs that will give you a good discount off of MSRP. And buying one out of state is beneficial too.

Why? The used price is half of the retail more or less?

Arnaud, I donīt have any experience with available discounts on AP models as both my ADs donīt sell AP.

But Iīd say if itīs not between 25 and 30% off retail for a brand new one itīs totally out of question for me. Itīs a very nice reference though.

Shouldn't be an issue. Shop around and be ready to pay in full, you'll find it in that range.

Probably the best ROO I believe. Looks great as a casual watch. But leave it on the rubber !!!

I'm picking up the new navy this coming week and plan on purchasing the bracelet as well. I have the diver, and I think the Diver and the new navy will be awesome! I plan on getting a brown and navy croc strap as well.. Best of all, can rotate straps with my diver :D

Looking fwd to the new caseback as my diver is a G serial...

Really excited. Was between this and the black & red.

Awesome! I have the Diver and the new Navy as well. I also alternate the rubber on both with the bracelet, so it's like having 4 watches.

Looking forward to your pics...best of luck.

Nice pair of watches!!
The Diver looks great on a bracelet.
And the blue strap is unique, and goes well with the blue dial.

personally i do not mind taking a hit on buying new as anything else one would spend disposable income on, delivering equal amount of pleasure, would take anything up to a 100% hit - to me resale value is just a bonus

if you do not flip watches often then in my opinion would buy new

by the way, if the contrast of rubber strap on a premium watch excites you, take a look at the rubber clad ROO, the idea of putting a rubber bezel over the top of the 18k gold case

I would totally put this on a bracelet and you'll love it. The rubber strap is also good. But once you put it on you'll fall in love with the bracelet. And can totally be dressed up and down.

Well a couple of months in and I've got to say I'm absolutely loving the watch.

It was a bit strange at first moving from something everyone recognised & knew as being 'very expensive' - a YG Rolex GMTIIC - to this AP on a rubber strap which the majority of people I run into don't really know about. At first I didn't really like it, I always liked status things before and strongly believed in getting a precious metal case if I was spending 5-figures on a watch, but after a week or two I got used to it and I actually much prefer it. Being able to fly under the radar is a real bonus - I really feel more comfortable with it going and visiting suppliers or speaking with sales agents for example, and I enjoy being able to wear such a beautiful watch without necessarily being judged one way or the other. It's quite neutral and unlikely to offend.

It still turns the right heads, but most of all I just love it. The quality of construction and attention to detail is phenomenal and I find myself admiring the little touches which the Rolex just can't match. I still am a big fan of the Rolex brand and still have my GMTIIC, I'll keep it a while yet and enjoy using it when going to a flashy bar or a nice restaurant with my fiancee, but I am absolutely sold on the AP as a daily and putting it on each morning is a great way to start the day.

I temporarily had to give up my diver that I picked up in June and I LOVE... but will be re-adding it to my collection again very soon. The chrono was a must have for me!

And it didnt take much to catch the bug, so went and picked up this one as well. I do like the hornback strap, but decided to pick up a black rubber and change straight away.

Great double incoming.

And funny, as I was about to ask if someone has a pic of the black/red on rubber.

I know what you mean.
I just justify it with that summer means colors etc dont have to match, and a bit of color on the wrist is awesome on a sunny day (when it's not hazy)
