Need help with my new rolex deep sea dweller

Hi just signed up right now as I need some help...
Today I received my new watch and have some doubts if real

Watch itself it heavy and very nice all seems fine but the the strap near the clasp came apart and I haven't even wore it yet.
Also another problem is the box it isn't soft or nicely presented inside feels hard and like a egg box. Not sure if this is normal also the leather wallet smells plastic.

Slight scratch inside the watch default but hardly can see unless close inspection

Clasp isn't a dark stamp but more light grey looking.

I paid top end price for this new watch from a retailer as a brand new model I expected flawless finish and a nicer box .

Rolex oyster perpetual date deepsea pics will be uploaded shortly
Sorry about this rushed post

Just looking for some help as this would be getting returned if not genuine

Welcome to TRF

What happened to the clasp? It's not clear from your description. The bracelet looks like it has some sort of plastic wrap on it
If you purchased from a retailer was this a Rolex authorised dealer? Either way I would take up any issues/concerns with them in the first instance

Rolex packaging sucks. I'm not sure if your expectations were reasonable.

Did you buy it from a Rolex Authorized Dealer, listed on the Rolex website? If so, it's real. If not, you shouldn't have paid top dollar for it.

If the clasp is broken, just bring it back to the store. If it was purchased from any legit retailer, you'll get your money back or a new one.

For top dollar I just didn't expect the watch bracelet to come apart even before wearing it. The small hand has a slightly big of extra pain on it and the longer hand has a tiny scratch . Is this normal these days for minor defaults

Should be fine. Take it back to get the clasp properly sorted and store the (admittedly not very nice) box. I haven't examined the clasp on this model, but it's probably either a screw that wasn't properly locktighted, or it's a bad spring bar (if they still use them at the clasp). In either case, that's what the warranty is for.

Normal? Probably not. Too common? Sure.

No, it's not. Again, just return it. It's not worth trying to figure out why it broke. If you really did buy from a Rolex AD, they will make it right.

..this is the pin that came out if I wore it today it would of fell of my wrist and probably been lost.. Maybe it's an issue with the model as it's a heavy watch

The booklets look incorrect to me,as does the wallet. The other things I noticed are the plastic wrap on the bracelet and that the plastic warranty card doesn't seem to have any printing on it. It's strange that you received a 1-year warrant on paper and the warranty card. Overall it doesn't look factory to me and I've owned 3 DSSDs.
