Thanks for the heads up guys... much appreciated... however, has anyone ever purchased Rolex or other Swiss watches on ebay... as some sellers have online stores or located stores... as I am looking to buy two watches... Australian dealers are not willing to offer discounts as much as seller in the USA... So where are the best online deals for Rolex and TAG... thanks

The green color does not look right, the bezel is moved over so as to not show that it does not line up perfectly, etc. I believe the watch could be not genuine. Other opinions?

I reported all of the watches that you noted above. That one guy with the green Submariner stole all of the photos from the other seller. Good call.

Err buddies...thanks for untiring efforts to rid off fake watches in eBay...

Nevertheless...Orchi wishes to suggest that the name of the Sellers' who are attempting to push off these fake watches as original to unwary bidders...should be highlighted along with the offending item listings in eBay...

Most of the time...when eBay pulls out the bad listing of fake watches...readers of this forum...won't be able to check eBay records anymore...n they won't know who was attempting to pass the bad watches to unwary bidders..unless they see the names being posted in the postings as well in here...

For example...recently a bad 16750 GMT watch had been pulled out by eBay...as a result of reports from this thread...but the Seller's USER ID in eBay...TimeVintage being the Seller should be mentioned in here as well...so others can be on alert & careful when they try to list other items in eBay in the future.

THE CULPRITS ARE NOT THE FAKED WATCHES(not guilty)...BUT THE UNSCRUPULOUS & GUILTY SELLERS THEMSELVES...!!!

Check this one out, I think something is wrong with it, he states "it is rare" I beg to doffer, but the band looks like crap and he says his dad bought it for $6500, I highly doubt that too, back in 1974 I would guess they were far from $6500, according to the serial number

http://cgi.ebay.com/Rolex-datejust-1...QQcmdZViewItem

Look how bad the band is..

Here is a real winner! Oh yeah its an annv model

He should be a marketing rep for Ford Motor Company or one of the other Big Three Auto Makers. If he can convince some one that this watch is rare that is an amazing feat.

There was discussion about doing this and some Offending E-Bay Sellers were listed in a thread. The moderators agreed that this may be setting us up for exposure as the offending listings had been removed. They then removed the names. I also wish to continue reporting fakes but do not want to set myself up for litigation. I'm on the downward slide to retirement and wish to protect my assets.

I am wondering if this could be done in a buyer's and seller's section that had a password system so if one of our members wanted to see people we had issues with that this section could be accessed. What do the powers' that be think of this?

Not sure on this one, he mentions Quartz, which right away I think battery, he does not say battery in the descripption, but in the box above it has battery listed.

http://cgi.ebay.com/MEN-S-ROLEX-WRIS...QQcmdZViewItem

Anyone looking for a "top of the line justday edition" Rolex?

http://cgi.ebay.com/top-of-the-line-...QQcmdZViewItem

Check this out, she/he is selling it to buy a house, hmmm $700 won't buy much of a house? This is ugly!! Check out the band, if I had to guess I'd say a fake.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Womens-Oyster-Pe...QQcmdZViewItem

HMMMM?

http://cgi.ebay.com/Rolex-Datejust-8...QQcmdZViewItem

Did Rolex ever make a band like this??

Reported all but the first and the last watch. The first I believe is genuine the last is something that I would need other opinions on it.

Yup. First one is gone. I missed the battery part at work this morning. I still have heard no opinions on the last watch. It looks like it is not genuine but the way it is listed has me wanting more opinions. My only deal there is she's had 343 sales, seller since 1999, 100% feedback, date magnification looks good, watch looks like it could be the 18K gold as stated.

Thanks Rob.

...thru the ref mat I have and cannot find anything like that. I would suspect that this was all custom work by a GOOD watch maker. Possibly Rolex Custom work????? It would be nice to see the mvmt and have a little more info for cross ref.

why does ebay allow this guy to relist this item, when it was previously returned from other buyer (posted negative feedback) as a fake?

It isn't even a Datejust to begin with. It is a fake Rolex Explorer II. He can't even get the watch straight. I reported the whole thing including how he ripped off the original winner of the watch. Hopefully they shut him down.
