Speedy back

Not like you have never seen one, but I don't think that I ever posted a picture of my Speedy's back!

Great pic, as always, Chipper!

BTW, isn't it a bit pompous of us humans to assume that (a) we invented a time keeping device and (b) we were the first to take it to the earth's moon?

I say this half in jest... but food for thought. Do you think in a parallel universe that SS Daytona's are like Ironmans here? Okay, I'm on heavy meds for my flu and it's time to hit the sack. LOL

John, don't get me started. I firmly believe that humans have yet to break out of the earth's orbital pull, let alone reach the moon. Given the race with the USSR and the thirst for power and all the evidence around conspiracy theories, I think it was a hoax.

Have you ever walked over to the edge of the Earth, John. Be careful. It's a big drop and there's no fence to protect you.

Hey, I've been to the 'Edge of the Earth'.... it's called Sagres, Portugal, the most south western tip of Europe and was once considered the edge of the earth.

Ed, I know lots of people laugh at the conspiracy theories about the moon, but there's lots of evidence to suggest it may not have happened (the photographic evidence is alarming) and the project was so huge that very few people actually had the overal, 100% scope or knowledge of every facet. Then there's the Stanley Kubrick connection.

What's also amazing (to me) is that the US said last year they may want to go 'back' to the moon, but they won't be ready to do it for 40 years. It was only, what, 35 years since the US was 'there' and with piss-poor technology. So given the leaps and bounds in hi-tech, why would it take 40 more years to prepare?

Why did the US stop the Japanese from doing a topographical survey of the surface of the moon with a high-powered telescope a few years back? Was the gov't afraid the Japanese may not find any 'debris' on the surface like a non-existant moon buggy, no flags, no LEM bases?

It's just very odd to me.
