Nomos
Easy question - while I wait for my Daytona ceramic white dial to come in, should I buy the Nomos white dial black strap, dress watch tomorrow. My AD said it just came in. Good price, in-house movement, manual wind which I am ok with because will only wear for business/dress. $2500. Adding it to my 114060 and blue datejust 41.

Is the question, “should you buy?”
Nomos makes great watches at very fair price points. I owned a Club Date for a couple years. I don’t have a single criticism I can think of. I have watch ADD so I stopped wearing it and eventually sold it, but that is no criticism of the watch itself. The one you posted is a bit plain for me, but if that’s the look you’re going for then Nomos is a solid buy. |

No - Dont buy a watch you dont want. Wait for the Daytona - the DJ will more than cover the Nomons as a dress watch (its even better).

Sounds like you just gave your reason for buying the Nomos. If understated is what you're going for when in a suit, your fluted DJ41 on jubilee, as beautiful as it is, is not the right fit. For the price, and Bauhaus design style, Nomos is hard to beat. I say go for it!

Nomos makes great watches. But personally, I wouldn't get one if it's a "tide me over" watch. That never works for me.
If I did do a tide me over watch, I'd get a Rolex as it's easy to move with relatively less loss if needed. Hope this helps. All the best. |

Oh and you already have nice two watch collection. So even if you didn't get a new watch, what you have is awesome.
But who are we kidding. That's not we think. Haha. |

Thanks man! I appreciate it. I am torn because I see the point I don’t really “need” this watch but I love the white dial against the black strap look. The datejust does do its job with a suit, but sometimes I don’t want my clients to see bling, something more understated.

Daytona and NOMOS...perfect together. You will also be surprised how well you can dress down the NOMOS. Great watch.
