SS Pepsi at Walmart

Every few months I stop by Walmart to check out their Casio stock. Dropped by today and thought it was funny to see these George watches that are clearly Rolex inspired.

I will buy the YMII “inspired” watch and drop it on my driveway in front of my wife to freak her out. Best $13 bucks I could spend on a April fools joke.

I almost picked one up one day for fun but I think they are much larger than the watches they emulate...

I appreciate not everyone is in the position to buy a Rolex and I feel blessed that I am. But who in their right mind is gonna buy one of those, absolute junk I would imagine. Consumerism for the sake of it, why is junk like this even produced. Not in the sense that they are clearly ripping off Rolex but because how on earth can a watch and matching bracelet be sold at $12.88, just a disposable item.

Worth buying for the bracelets alone.

Great spot, made me smile as I was logging into work and checking TRF before I start my day.

Man that YM2 is blatant. No other watch really looks like a YM2, so if any other watch does it is stands out so much as a copy.

Damn my Walmart display was bare, but their greeter stated if I were to buy the last Casio he might be able to check the stockroom to replenish the good stock....

Spot-on.

Someone out there may be saving pennies to buy their favorite nice-looking watch.

Hopefully, a few people are inspired enough to work hard to buy the real thing!

There is no real thing. Jeez imagine someone looking at your outfit and saying 'one day if they work hard they might afford proper clothes' even though your clothes are perfectly valid just not with a marketed brand or inferred prestige..

I bet the Walmart watch still works if you take it off for a week.
