FWIW, my dad's 1970 180x (3? 7?) has a tropical brown diamond dial and reverse barking on the case and bracelet. At this stage it looks almost more like a deep cross-hatching (he is NOT light on his watch).
He wanted to sell it some time ago (has changed his mind thank goodness), and try as I might, I was wholly unable to find another like it online. |

I know this is an old post...
Hey guys! Sorry to bring up an old post again but I am in the EXACT same situation so I had to register and chime in. I inherited my grandfathers' presidential earlier this year and it has barked outers... He wasn't light on his watch and wore it daily for a few decades at least so the case and bracelet are pretty worn. The bark finish has been worn down on the outermost part of the lugs over time but you can still see the details on parts of it. Did you ever find out any more info on if this was legit or not?
