Any experience with ceramic...

I was told the ceramic pieces cannot be repaired or polished...

The sales person told me that ceramic cannot be scratched and is the safest bet out there.

Any experiences with ceramic APs?

It can chip but won’t scratch. Never had an issue with any of mine but I am pretty careful.

A hard knock can result in micro chips on the fine edge and a drop on the floor can result in catastrophe.

I’ve owned several and had zero issues. I much prefer a ceramic bezel on an AP and if hits the fan you’re looking at about 2500 for a new bezel.

It can scratch if the material is harder than it, of which there are very few in day to day life.

It can chip as well although I’ve yet to see it on mine.

I own that exact one you tried on and now it’s my default travel watch due to the durability of the ceramic bezel given I bang my hand a lot on seats on the plane and it’s been great. (Pics below are of the same watch)
