Not incoming, but arrived...

I put the crowbar to it and performed a walletectomy resulting in this inquisition today...the 423. This sucker is really massive. I had it in the car on the way home and it's gonna take my alleged body heat 2 hours to warm the thing up so it stops feeling cold!!

Now I have the pleasure of shopping for 26mm straps....

Congrats! Sweet watch.
You're going to love the size. I figure if you are going to spend it, might as well be big enough to be seen.
Wear it in the best of health!
Cheers!

Thanks for the comments! I never thought I'd pop for a 47 but now that I have I really like it. I still like the smaller PAM's but they're gonna look really small now.

Yep, if you're gonna spend the $ might as well have the big kahuna.

Thanks for the comments!! Have some straps (and the third strap case) on order, and working on a couple more from another source. I REALLY like the gold hands.

Fortunately I have the old style PAM bracelet for the 40mm 241 so it's fairly substantial for its "small" size.

As I said (I think) I never thought a 47 would work, but man it's great!

Beauty, enjoy it. As a 422 owner I can tell you that most all other watches are going to look small to you now. Very small. It's tough going back to 40mm. I went by the Rolex display at my local AD the other day and they were all so shiny and pretty but small.

What do you think of the 26/22 OEM straps?

The AD showed me his selection of straps and they were 26/26 but he said he had no buckles in 26. For the price of the OEM straps and buckles, I'm going aftermarket.

Yeah, all other watches are gonna look small now, but I can live with that. I still like all my others, from the lowly 116231 MOP to the PAM 423!
