Is PAM 000 really hard to get?
Been lurking and learning lots about Panerai. Would like to cross over from Rolex and try something a little different. Heard from a Canadian dealer that the 000's are very hard for him to get in, wonder if anyone else has same experience from their ad's. Found one at op boutique in Florida but won't be there f another 3 weeks and wonder if I should pay full msrp to reserve it. Also how is resale if decide to move up? Thanks

Not that hard to get just a little patience is required. Not sure about a discount.

yes and no... 000 is the most popular model and also the cheapest. therefore, a lot of demand for that model. however, the wait should not be that long. and one of the boutiques should have them in stock pretty much all the time (at least in the US).
I would find a mint used one and pay a lot less for one

I am a Rolex guy also lurking intot he Pam world. I think it may be due to the pricing of the base model. It's pretty reasonable for an entry level piece.

The pre-owned ones appear fairly often in this forum, great value for the base!

www.watchrecon.com is another good site for multiple searches. Doesn't appear to be many zero's out there right now.

000 is actually pretty hard to get at dealers / ADs because it is the cheapest model and ADs are actually forced to take in 270s or 233s to get one 000.
With that being said there are a lot of them out there as pretty much everyone has owned a zero at some point and moved up or down from there. Im on the hunt for one too!!! If you can find a zero in the Mid 3s or low 4s for new that is a good price. |

I've heard this too. Panerai is pushing their in-house movement models to dealers. I've never seen a 000 at my AD. As other have mentioned, preowned is the way to go. They do pop up from time to time.

Shouldn't be too hard to find from the trusted resellers on TRF both new and used. I would say you can find one within a few weeks (max).

Where in Canada are you located? I was just at my AD (Toronto) and they had one in stock.
Also, expect to pay full retail on one. As everyone already mentioned, because it's so popular, they won't discount it. |

Pam 000
Id try calling around to the different ADs across the country. The only AD in Vancouver is Palladio and you probably wont get a deal from them as they know they are the only AD in town.
You can find PAM000s at a discount on the TRF For Sale section! dra144 has quite a few Panerai models for sale from time to time. Mitch |

000s are not hard to find if you know where to look. Amazing watch. I suggest picking one up preowned though and save yourself some cash.

I was in the same boat last year, I was looking for my first PAM and it was between an 000 and 005, I was patient and found a 2005 H series 005 and got a great deal on it, but from what I have been told by my local dealer is the 000 is a little harder just because of it being the lowest cost model.

312 is a sick watch. Congrats on that purchase, as you won't need to worry about trading up.
