Abbotoni dials

Hi all

has anyone have pictures of an Abbotoni dial?

Just wanted to know a bit about the history, which models will have, which model is featured in that hodinkee video, etc.

I believe he is speaking of the case and it is Ovetone. Pronounced O va toni. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I think you're right Tommy. Ovettone is used to describe the bigger bubblebacks and the shape of the case.

"Ovetto" in Italian means "little egg" and by extension "Ovettone" means "big little egg". Kind of a joke, actually.

What would that dial be then? The one before the honeycomb dial?
