2002 gmt

I just bought my first pre-owned Rolex from a reputable dealer in Boston and have a question regarding said watch. It is a 2002 GMT ll (TT). Is the stem on this watch smaller than the newer GMT's. I have three Subs (SS, TT AND 18K) and all have much larger stems. The GMT is in pristine condition and a nice change from the subs. Even after shopping for a nice pre-owned GMT for a year I was paranoid about ending up with a fake and the reason for my stem question.
Thanks
Alaska Laddie

Hello.

I take it you mean the crown on a non-ceramic GMT is smaller than on a Sub. The answer is yes. The Ceramic GMT II's now have the larger trip lock crown.

What Bill said, the crown is larger on newer models. However the stem is also slightly longer.

Yes the crown is my concern. I sure appreciate this site for the knowledge base that is available...thanks guys for the insight. I HAD to have a TT GMT with a green dial and waited 4 months for it to come together. I'm sure my green dial is 'after market' but it sure looks very nice and I find it more practical to wear than my 18k SUB. I bought it through Paul Duggan Inc out of Boston after a number of positive references.
Thanks again to the forums constructive response to questions.

Your 2002 GMT should have both solid end links and lug holes. A great combo that was only produced for a few short years.
Congrats and enjoy,
