Submariner 5512 Has Landed

So I wanted to invest in a really clean and honest example of a vintage Sub that I would not be worried about wearing whenever and wherever I wanted. I settled on this beautiful Sub 5512 3.3xxxxx (1972) and it is exactly what I had in mind

Very, very nice Frank! What a collection you have amassed in the last few weeks. Do you miss your 6205?

Yes and no...it was (is) a really beautiful watch and had a strong tie to my family but at the end of the day it was little more than a very expensive "safe queen" and I'm glad it is now being appreciated and worn as that was the intent of the dealer / collector who bought it.
I have turned a portion of the proceeds into five classic vintage pieces that I fully intend to wear which is all good
I have one more piece on my short term list for acquisition and that is a "top tier" example of a white Sub 1680 full set and then I'm done for a while
