Need opinion on 1974 1675

Hello guys,

I plan to buy this 1974 1675 from a local seller. Don't know much about 1675 so any opinion will be really helpful.

Regards,

Adrian

For something as recent as 1974 the patina of the hands and hour markers looks a bit severe to me. These same items on my 1967 GMT Master (which I have owned from new, so I know its history) are still bright, so I would wonder what has caused the ageing on this example. Otherwise it looks good.

Stan.

Good looking radial dial GMT. Lume is orange and deteriorating, hands are corroded, insert paint faded, some will pay extra for those features. They are common and relate to dubious quality of some elements of Rolex manufacture. You would rarely see a 40 year old Patek Phillippe looking like that, or a Seiko either for that matter! Case looks pretty good.

Is that "3" date something that just looks odd to me?

This watch was recently discussed on another forum. It has similarities to a radial dial GMT but it is not what we refer to as a radial dial GMT. The date wheel is not your typical date wheel or one that I have seen before - as long as I have been collecting GMTs.

Below is a radial dial.

Hello guys,

Thank u for the opinions.
@stangmt in that case, maybe this watch ever experienced a water leak or maybe an artificial aging?

@springer pm sent.

Adrian

Seen this dial before, always figured it just another variation, perhaps it's dodgy then, or more rare?

Just check the discussion about this watch on VRF. And guys there also still don't have any clues about the dial.

Adrian
