Different type of Plexis?

Just trying to figure out which is which.
I know we have the top hat and the super dome,
I seen the T39 Superdome. There is also a T19, which I am not sure is the Top Hat or a SuperDome.
Been trying to find the different types, just to see the options out there, with not much luck.
Could anyone kindly guide me to where I can find, or perhaps write a quick summary of which is which.

Would greatly be appreciated.

Thank you all!

Top hat refers to a vintage flat topped plastic crystal, usually with a magnifying lens for date models. The modern replacement, also plastic, have a more pronounced bevel around the top edge.
Super domes are as they sound, a big domed non date crystal of any reference.
The modern replacements have much less of a dome.

Cheers, appreciate the help.
Are t19 and t39 both just variations of the super domes though? Are there others?
That is what I was really curious about.
Are there variations within a top hat plexi as well?

Superdome just refers to certain non cyclops crystals from earlier production. The service replacements of these crystals have a different profile and no longer have a pronounced curved dome. As for all crystals....yes throughout the years there are variations of all of them. Here are a few crystal part numbers and watch refrence numbers. These all would have had superdomes in earlier production.
T19: 5512/5513
T39: 1665
T21: 6263/6265 etc..
T22: 1016

Early T 19's had a more pronounced dome shape predating the T 39

The T 39 is definitely the tallest Superdome and usually the one people think of most and is more prevalent these days

The T 39 fits onto 5512 And 5513 eference but is not technically correct. What some watchmakers have done is take a T 39 and take a bit of height out of it by lapping the flat base that goes against the case and use that as an early T 19 replacement.

The top hat is the T127 which was used on the 1680 model. The early versions of this Crystal have a very sharp top corners simulating a top hat when you look from the side and hence the name. Current versions of this crystal both genuine and replacement types have a pronounced bevel around the top edge because that sharp edge was very prone to getting large chips whacking into stuff.

After having getting my serviced expl 1655 back, I noticed that the new plexiglass had a more pronounced bevel.
So are there anymore differences and what does it do for the collectors value?

The one I got from a recent service is identical to the original from -78. I have only seen the beveled version on watches serviced in the US, mine was serviced at an authorized service center here in Sweden. Maybe they just have a large supply of the old variant here? It still passes the yearly pressure test in any case.

The 5508 originally came with a T16 (superdome I believe).
