Opinion on this DJ? - Pic Inside!

A friend of mine runs a coin/gold shop, and keeps me posted with interesting watches, etc that arrive. This Rolex DJ just came in. Have not seen it in person, just a pic sent via text. It's 100% genuine. He would like to get $3000 out of it. Think that is a fair deal? Service History unknown, keeping cosc time though. The bracelet "gold" looks different to me. Anyway here is the Pic, and let me know if this is a good deal to add to my collection.

That's top money for that old soldier. It's a 5 digit ref with a 3xxx movement and based on the condition of the crown it may never have been serviced. It's hard to get that much wear on the splines of an automatic watch!

The bracelet helps, get rid of the DNA and it will look OK. 3K with a full service is about right.

Ok, so in the condition, perhaps an offer of $2,200?

I would pay an extra $700-$1000 and get one in better condition. The bracelet looks too worn out for my liking, but some more/better photos would help.
