Panerai is a one trick pony and that trick doesn't appeal to me. Back when you could get a base model PAM NIB for $3,000 they made some sense as a "hey that's fun" kind of watch. At current prices, there are literally hundreds of watches I'd buy instead.
Of course, you are comparing it to one of my least favorite Rolex references of all time. |

Buy the one you think you like most right now... and if not flip it for the other.
Really its personal choice.. like BMW vs MB. |

Not a PAM fan whatsoever...tried in the DSSD and laughed at how clownishly big it was on my wrist which is 7.25...I'd go for the 116600 personally but it's your choice clearly so go for the one you can't live without

Don't really understand people who cannot make up their own mind and ask strangers to help them choose by starting threads "Which do u like? Because I will get what u think I should get" to me, that sounds like u don't really want or need it. So why even force the purchase ?

that's the reason for a forum. so we can share our experiences of what we learned about what we own or owned. to each his own. you may not understand why but there's always a reason. |
