Decided to go with a new GMT BLNR, rather than an older Pepsi model that I had originally planned on getting.

I fell in love with the colors of BLNR after seeing it in person. Also, given this will be a pass down to my 5 year old boy at some point in the next 10-15 years, I thought it would probably be better to go with a new piece now. I know he likes the blue and black colors, so he will probably love this beauty.

Anyway, I just received my new watch - thanks to trusted seller here DAVIDSW - and couldn't be happier.

Here are a couple of pictures for your viewing pleasure. Sorry I hadn't taken off the protective tapes yet while snapping these pics.

iPhone flash captures the etched crown in crystal...

Side by side with my 9 year old two tone Sub, next to the new sibling BLNR. The sub is due for a service, which I will be sending in soon.

Very nice! Congratulations on your addition! That model is getting hard to find nowadays! Hence, a good investment!
Your son is very lucky, even though he is still too young to appreciate what's coming his way!!

Wow, thank you all for your warm and welcoming remarks. I was kinda feeling stupid posting about this new addition, thinking most of the folks here would yawn and pass on my thread. :)

THANK YOU ALL.

I certainly hope so. I won't be telling him this is his anytime soon, hopefully he will learn to admire it long before he gets his hands on it.

Not elite enough to get me a 'signature' space for me to list it, apparently! - not sure what is up with that, if it is a newbie thing and forum rules, or if I need to be a paying member perhaps, will find out later.

That is the right word, 'handsome'. It sure is. It looks mature. The color combo is right at home with jeans and Tshirt, similarly at home in a nice grey/black/blue suit.

Hulk is also very beautiful. in a perfect world one would have one of each.

thank you (for calling me sir... :) ) , yes it has served me well and will continue to serve me for years to come. I have not abused it by any means, but have also not babied it... it has some slight scars here and there on the band from when my hand was all the way deep into the engine of my car... or camping or water rafting or riding my motorcycle or ... every day for about 9 years it has not been off of my hand. I am sending it in for a service soon and have mixed feelings about the polishing that is included in the service. Part of me wants to restore its original shine, and the purist in me likes to keep the battle scars on it.

Thank you. Yes, good investment I hope. I suspect I may not be able to buy him a new one by the time he deserves one, hence getting it in now.
