Not my favorite model, but with that dial and blue seconds hand, this configuration is the nicest one for that model.

I'm thinking about getting this model very very seriously, but I already have the same dark rhodium dial datejust ii and before that had the 114300 dark rhodium. It is such a beautiful timepiece. I have yet to actually see it in person. Today ironically enough my local ad emailed me and stated they just received it and that I need to get down there asap...I inquired about it 3 months ago. Would you swap a datejust ii for this piece or just make it an addition?

I would if these were the only watches you wear. I might want to pick up something a lot different. This is just my opinion, not knowing anything else. Maybe you just love rhodium dials.

You must do what you really love. Good luck!

You would swap you mean or just add it to the collection? To make things even more complicated, I have never owned a sub and am also contemplating maybe getting a sub. Essentially, I absolutely love the dark rhodium contrasted with the 904L steel and white gold very much. The question is should I have both (ym and datejust ii with diamond dial) or maybe just keep my datejust ii and get a sub instead (black with ceramic) The only quality I do not like in the diamond dial dark rhodium DJII is there is no lume at all...

This is a great watch IMO. For some reason the yachtmaster 1 has always been an ultimate favorite of mine and this rendition is just fantastic.

Great looking piece - I just wish that the black bezel insert (from the 116655) was an option.

That photo just made me realize that the blue seconds hand is a pretty dead on sky blue. I like it.

That's a beauty.

I saw it in person yesterday. It's a really nice watch.

I love this one, but I don't understand why it lists for almost $4K more than a Sub date in the same size?

The bezel on the Yacht-Master is solid platinum.
