Vintage Datejust - Please help Identify this face!

This is a watch that was willed to me. The case and movement has been authenticated and has received authorized service, however, I can't for the life of me identify or find a reference for the watch face that is on it.

Can I get an assist?

Thanks!!

Most likely an aftermarket replacement. Keep it if you like it or ask for a period proper dial at your next service.

Nope. Boiler dial from the early 80's. Rare select market face.

You see them in an off-white to cream color from time to time. Also black and dark blue. I think the boiler gauge dials are beautiful. A chacun, son gout.

You asked us to identify the dial, but you knew what it was all along?

Stunning dial, you don't see those often. 'Wear it like you stole it'.

Wow. Strangest looking dial I've seen. What is a "Boiler" dial and what are the select markets? Would love to see more/better pictures

Almost every time on of these comes up (usually in the Watchout section) we get two or three cries of "fake" before someone who knows what they are talking about chimes in

I'm guessing the OP did his own research in the month between posts.
