SD43 is the way to go;
More advance when compare to a Sub. The Looks, fits and movement is way superior then the Sub |

Go with Sea-Dweller. You never need another watch, but might want some

All i wanted was a sub much like you and was so tempted to just go for it despite the small size anyway, but when the sd43 was released and the fact it was a sd was just great . It has not been off my wrist and will only stop ticking when i do .

Sounds like you're a perfect candidate for the SD43.

I may be biased but the Submariner is an awesome watch.

Depends on your lifestyle and personality really. The Sea Dweller is inherently a more casual, sporty watch.
A modern Sub is only going to be too small on a very large wrist. Sure, it isn't big by the standards of watches today but it isn't small by any means and wears larger than the 40mm it is advertised at. Try on all the watches people are recommending. Wear the watches and look in a mirror from a distance to get a better idea of how it wears on your wrist. Maybe even go in the AD with your significant other (assuming you have one) or a friend to see what they think. My last piece of advice is to take the opportunity to try on all the models. I know the Sub is your dream but who knows if you fall in love with something else. The Sub has been my dream for awhile but I think next year I'm going to be getting a Milgauss LV. That thing was love at first sight. |

Can't go wrong with the Sea Dweller has more ability to do stuff than the Sub imo.

SD 43 is for you then, especially if you have or planning to own Sub LV.

Sub is the timeless choice, don't know how the new SD's will look 15-20 years from now..

If the ceramic Sub is too small for you I have no idea why people are recommending the SD4K or the non ceramic SD - they wear smaller than the ceramic sub!!
Try on a SD43 or if you really have to he DSSD. Best of luck. Be careful the advice you take though as some of it on this thread has been very bad. People talking about the watch they would get and not the one which would suit you. |

It's always a hard choice between the two but I would go with the Sea-Dweller. You will enjoy any of the two very much.

Unless a 1665 - any Submariner will do, except an ordinary 16610 which is the least ranked of the whole bunch (1665, 1680, 16660, 16600, 16610, 1660LV, 16613LB, 16613LN, 114060, 116610LV, 116610LN, 116613LN, 116613LB, 116619LB, 16618LB, 16618LN, etc)
