I was wondering if this is a 1970s service dial. The case dates to 1960 and has a butterfly rotor. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Sorry about the ordinary photo but it's the only one I have.

I am no expert....but that is a definite much later dial (mk5?) and not original to the watch since it's from the 60's......also the insert is much later as well from what I can tell.

Yeah service dial, what's the serial, should be in the high 500ks...

It is a Mark V dial used during the later 1970s. It is not a "service dial" per se, but was obviously used as a replacement dial for GMTs manufactured during the 1960s - besides the later service dials, this dial seems to be a common replacement dial for GMTs from that era.

Also, the handset is not original to the watch, as it left the factory.
