Fair condition/price?

Hi,

Was wondering if some experts could provide som views on this piece?

It’s a birth year watch (I hope - 1983) and I’m pretty new to the details so could use some help.

Thanks

Dan

Those Krackle dials don't hold up too well to regular wearing.

Pass!! You can find a nice 5513. I'll never understand the fascination with these *defective* dials.

That seems high but I love the spider dials. Not sure why they don't wear well as another poster claimed. I have had 2. Never an issue....nothing beats them in the sun.

Never understood why someone would buy a ruined dial?

Fabulous patina on the dial and hands. Stunning. However, agreed about those "spider" dials. I don't get 'em. The service insert with the lumi pearl would bug me too. It's a shame, because otherwise that's a beautiful-looking Sub with a nice fat case.

I don't know ... I love these dials - very unique, very interesting light reflection, very year specific (like 2 years of total production). but then again, I never understood faded BLUE Sub dials.

Spider dials aren't any more fragile than aged lume on watch hands
