New enthusiast
Hello Everyone,
I've just joined the forum as I need to expand my knowledge before making further purchases. I've always had an interest in watches although I have to admit for many years got out of the habit of wearing a watch. I have childhood memories of my Grandfather telling the family that Rolex made the best watches, he never had the means by which to own a rolex but I do remember that he had drawers of watchmakers tools and I know from my father that he used to tinker with watches and clockwork mechanisms. I believ he was involved with clockwork bomb fuses in WWII. A few years ago I started collecting a few watches of various brands and although I have quite a few Bremont and a couple of Seiko watches my favourite is my old Datejust. Anyway I've got some specific questions about a couple of watches I'm looking at which I'll post in one of the other areas. Regards |
