Hi all
I need some help I need a set of pallets for my Rolex calibre 710 or a set that will fit any suggestions would really help I’ve tried all the usual places Thanks Paul |

Hi Paul,
I hate to disappoint you but it's really not that simple. There are so many different pallets for that movement...that you almost have to have a collection of used ones and just get lucky. There are at least 3 different pivot sizes on the arbors and nothing is really standard. The first thing I learned from my watchmaking mentor was...before the 1030 all bets are off on standardization. It's not simply an "order an new one" kind of situation. They aren't really even running changes...they are simply random and without a collection of pallets and the movement in hand...it would be very difficult to find one that would work. You might get lucky but that is really what it might take. I have probably 20 loose 700 series pallets in my boneyard. I was trying to help a local watchmaker friend with one for an early oyster date precision.....none that I had would work in his watch. |
