Great watches guys. This might be for me in a few years after I have my Daytona.

I would have thought that it would have been the other way round. I would be interested to read your take on the legibility between the two dials?

I think it is just his eyesight having issues with silver over white - I personally thinks both are legible enough - but again this could be his vision issue

Ok. I am considering joining the club.

I wanted the Blue.

I’ve seen the White.

Happy with the white, but preference would be the blue if I could obtain it.

I look at it this way:

The blue is going for a higher amount on the grey market. Surely, as hardly anyone is buying the white it will become more valuable (scarce) in the future, as most will own the blue?

Flawed logic maybe but what do you reckon?

Thanks

Yeah, a very good and valid point.

I’m just thinking long term. The value for blue on grey is 50% markup yet white is 25% surely that will flip in the future? As most will own the blue.

Does anyone know realistically how long the wait would be for a blue dial? I’m hearing 3-5yrs?!

I do not think rolex is making more blue than white. I also don't think it is possible to ascertain future value on these. If you plan to flip in the short term then blue is the safest, otherwise forget it.

Great looking watch... how come no one is complaining about the 'fat markers?'

The white is nice !

I see this as a natural progression from my current watch. I have the DJ2 41mm in silver arabic dial

Actually I’m fairly sure Rolex are releasing more white. They are at least at the moment. There seemed to be more blue I initially but in the last couple of weeks there’s been quite a few white dials delivered.

I was promised the next blue by my AD, though they did say there was no guarantee when they could get one (I only asked in November so missed the first lot of releases. They called me and said they had a white if I wanted to have a look. It’s far more stunning in the flesh than the pictures show. It’s quite stunning!

Thanks to Cuibono and Dirt for your thoughts based on your personal experiences.
I think that the lume looks ok and if it is as powerful as my Explorer and Sub will easily last the night.

The milgauss disproves your theory.
No one wanted the white dial before. And no one wants it today. So its the cheaper milgauss on the grey market.

Great.
Thanks for that
The lume looks great and seems to be plenty adequate
All designs are a compromise of one thing or another but there's something right about the Skydweller dial layout with all things considered. It's hard to imagine any worthwhile changes that could make it better as a whole with the possible exception of making the dial marker surrounds and hands Blued on the "White" dial version. I think I would pay quite a hefty premium for that configuration

Interestingly, the luminosity seems to be uniform in intensity when comparing the dial and hands together.
Often the hands are a little dimmer than the dial with most lume shots and real life personal experience with Rolex.

I like the watch even more now

Initial glow is not as bright as lumibrite or superluminova but last as long if not longer.

I believe the Chromalight is supposed to be better than Superluminova.

Unless it is Superluminova...

On the yellow gold model - what dial do you think is most masculine ? Black dial or champagne dial

Got this Sep last year

Real wrist presence

Question though: the links appear to be wider than the PM versions. I just bought the black dial YG skyd and the links are not as wide as the steel. Anyone notice this?

I have owned my SS white dial Sky-Dweller for a couple of weeks now and really like it. I had previously owned the YG and WG models and while I liked them they never got a lot of wear. The SS is different. I don't know if it is because I don't have so much tied up in it or what.

I havent seen alot of pics of the "rose gold" Skydwellers, does anyone know if that wasn't selling as popular as the yellow gold ?
