I need help date an 1803 Day-Date

Hello Everyone,

I purchased my first Rolex, an 1803 Day-Date, back in March. I purchased it on a leather band and now I am wanting to put it back on the 18k bracelet. I want the watch to be correct for the year. I am not sure how to date the exact year of the watch. I used Bob's watches serial search and it came back as 1968. That could be right but I have heard that Bob's is inaccurate. Can anyone help me date the watch. Thanks.

The exact date can't be determined. All of the various charts you see are approximations. Only Rolex knows when your watch was made, and they are not talking.

Also, if your 1803 is from the late 60's, you'll want a bracelet with a clasp like the one on this 1807, not the more common hidden clasp, which appeared later.
