1655 serial number vs. make year of watch
I have a 1655 Explorer II with a serial # of 291****.
After searching, it gives the manufacture year of the serial number of 1969 or 1970. The Explorer II is a watch that started being made around 1972. Why the discrepancy between 1969/1970 serial number and the 1972 make of the Explorer II? |

2.9 is 1971/72 and not 69/70
