Check the serial number. I think 78 is late for a red sub unless it sat a the dealers for a couple years.

Could be NOS in 1978 when the white 1680 Sub was running. Looks nice (i believe original dial, hands and possibly insert), would be great to have some more pics of the case at different angles.
More experienced members will probably give a better insight.

I got a couple more pics is there anyone else that can comment on the 1978 sell date on the warranty ,from what i can tell by searching around 1974 was the cutoff, could this have sat at a store till 1978 before it sold ? or did someone change the dial to a red one .

Actually it is a valid question since it isn't a full set without it.

Anchors can be had for 200 of you are patient and know what to look for. No biggie. The rest of the items are harder to source. What is the bracelet date stamp. Watches sitting on the shelf is not unheard of. The serial number is well within the red range.

It could've sat on a shelf for years before selling. Better/closer/clearer pics of papers (and dial) would help.

I would caution this being "too good to be true."

But damn, the watch looks legit - likely a very very late Red Sub:

- clean case
- clean matching patina across dial, hands, and pearl
- insert doesn't look artificially aged and correct
- correct top hat crystal
- sharp lines and clean lug holes (possibly unpolished)
- correct late dial with closed 6's

Don't care for the "full set" options, it's probably going to cost you big.

I saw this posting on another one of the major forums for 11K which seems way low IMO.

Definitely way too low and now suspicious.

Confirm references and request tagged/time stamped photos and proceed with caution.
