Any thoughts on this 1655 bezel would be appreciated

Definitely not an expert on the 1655.
What do you guys think. Fake? Refinished? Service replacement?
I'm hoping for a Mark I

Many thanks in advance!

I've never seen one with a black inner ring like that. Here's my MKII for comparison.

The inner ring is indeed silver. Just a lighting issue.
I feel like the mark 2 is similar but what throws me off is the lines, on this bezel the black lines touch the crystal and doesn't have any space the way yours does.

Here is mine. Lines don't seem to continue to the inside.

This link is a fantastic resource for all things 1655. The photos appear squished on the blog, on my screen anyway, but you can click on each photo and see the examples blown up and clearly.

Your answer might be in here:

Well known fake from Vietnam, apparently.

Yeah, that inner black ring didn't look like just a lighting issue. Maybe this should be moved/copied to the "Watch Out" section?
