I'm pretty sure you will not get the factory warranty or the original warranty card from Costco. But, they do have a great return policy if you want to "rent" it! Lol

Wow, great price, no matter the warranty. However, if a factory warranty is critical to you go with a AD.

  1. Costco is grey-market. No Rolex warranty.

  2. However, making up for this is that watches should still have the awesome Costco warranty: return the item at any time for a full refund. A while back, there was a story of a lady who returned a nine-year-old Tag to Costco for a full refund. Just returns, though -- no repairs.

  3. You still have to be careful about the price. Sometimes they're great, sometimes not.

Rolex warranty goes with the watch, no matter where you buy it from. Nothing to do with buying from an AD!

Haven't been in the market for this one for a while but that looks like a solid price and from costco, given their policies (if true), probably the only grey I would purchase from

Yay.

Another COSTCO thread.

Can we get a sticky that says: "COSTCO sells Rolex Watches from time to time" and block any new ones?

In the OP's defense, I don't think that was his intention. He wasn't shocked that Costcos sells Rolexes but that he was tempted to purchase when he saw one.

True...but how about an incoming after the purchase instead? That would have mixed things up a bit.

No mention of watches in the exceptions so as someone mentioned previously, you can return it at any time for any reason for a full refund.

When the time comes, there will be an incoming. This was geared more towards the damn SDc pushing the Sub out as my choice. Plus, I was able to pick up 90 rolls of toilet paper too.

Not quite that long but yes they asked me to bring it back when I told them about it and they did refund the cost which I added $25 to and purchased a new one with. It was more like 12 years old. Someone mentioned that a manager at one store suggested that they tracked customer returns to look for abusers of the policy. My experience with Costco is that depending on whom one is dealing with their policies may be carried out differently which is why I held on to the damaged kayak for ten years after it was damaged. The Costco in Oregon had a clerk who wouldn't allow its return after three years of ownership. I should have known better and asked to speak to their manager.

Also don't forget that if using the Costco Visa there is money returned on a yearly basis.

Queue attack by other member who believes my return to be unethical. Now where is that pest.

I guess I don't get it-you can get BNIB from a forum dealer (from an AD) for a couple hundred more.

I'm not against grey market, but only when it's really price-advantageous. When you're already spending $8100, another $150 would be worth it. Plus I'm assuming Costco would charge tax anyway.

My mother had purchased 2 pairs of pants for my dad which he never wore. She returned them, with the receipt, 3 years later, and they took them back. Politely asked her to return things within a year going forward.

About 8 years ago, my sister returned a 5 year old computer, and they took it back. Now that's limited to 6 months.
