At least you tried! I am the opposite, I have tiny wrists and the Daytona is an absolute perfect fit. I am glad they didnt supersize it, and can't wait to finally get into a 116500 (still waiting, as I am not paying over list)

My DaytonaC is a perfect fit but my wrists are a lot smaller than yours.

You do you brother.
All I know is that I would not want to get in the ring with you.

My Daytona has gone!!!
Over the last couple years I've dropped about 70 lbs. The 40mm watches used to look a tad undersized to me , and I've always preferred meatier diver-style watches, but these days the 40mm models are in my wheelhouse. I've been wearing a 42mm Omega Seamaster for years. Now I'm transitioning to a Rolex GMT Master II. It's all about personal preference. In also looking at an Omega Speedmaster as a third watch but I'm concerned that the 44mm case might be too big. A year ago I never would have thought 44mm could be too big. Tastes change.

So, it seems that I remain a 'Daytona Man' through and through. Just picked up a white 116520 dated June 2015 with stickers still on it, very lucky to find this one.
I'll wear it for best with a suit/formal...I just have to own a Rolex Daytona!!

Don't look back if it didn't work for you. I'm puny in size compared to your build and have some hesitancy about the Daytona.
I've tried SS Daytona non C and TT and they feel small. I usually rotate a GMT2c, SubC, BLNR and a 5 digit Sub. |

Do what you gotta do! I think it looked fine on you! This size stuff is all in our heads and perspective. I think 36mm looks small on me because I like and wear 40mm. The Daytona C wears marginally smaller than other 40mm watches but once the Daytona is on my wrist I don't notice. I think mostly because there is more on the dial. So in your head is a 44mm Breitling of course the Daytona is going to be perceived as small in your mind. With the 41mm DJ it is a bit bigger but less is crammed on the dial so it is more pleasing to your mind. Enjoy the DJ...someone will relish your Daytona.

I got it for £9500 and that is extremely cheap for June 2015 with some stickers on it.

Do you prefer this version to the new ceramic one that you had?

I'm on the fence, both are stunning but I like the white dial 116520 better than the white dial 116500LN, I started likening the white ceramic as a touch Tag Heuer F1. My Ceramic was black and was stunning but in reflection I love both black dial models equally.

I would comment but I was just notified that I was awarded a 6 point infraction. It came with an explanation about abusive language or some such but did not say exactly what terrible, inhumane, heinous word or phrase I used. I'm sorry that I'm muzzled (hopefully a word that is associated with evil, non-sentient metal and plastic, lead slinging tools won't add to my total points) but, dude, you know, WHATEVER. . .

Congrats!
It's one I just have to own too. So classic looking while still having all the modern features Btw I just had to go wind my white 116520 and throw it on the wrist too after reading and seeing your great pics |

Oooh, suits you sir! The C really doesn't blow my skirt up. I much prefer the 116520, especially in black.

My Daytona has gone!!!
I can't stop staring at my new daytona, I've always had black dials and the white gold with panda.
It is so clean and crisp.
